A lot of time, effort, and resources have been poured into the development of Kaleido Edge with particular emphasis being given to overall functionality as well as aesthetic appeal.
The body of the sharpener is made of a high-quality aluminum shell divided into two separate detachable compartments.
The upper compartment houses the sharpener blade and functions as a container for pencil shavings, allowing for quick and easy disposal. The lower compartment houses spare graphite leads at a maximal length of 80mm. Its bottom is coated with a soft foam to safeguard against movement shocks that could damage the leads.
The incredibly sharp blades on the Kaleido Edge are made of solid stainless steel. This allows for an exceptionally sharp cut that produces extremely thin shavings. Blades are made by DUX, the oldest German brand for high-quality pencil sharpeners, established in 1908.
To take a step forward and ensure a perfectly shaped pencil point, you can order carbide blades that have exceptional properties such as high hardness, long service life, and wear-resisting edge. They maintain perfect sharpness.
The sharpener comes with a hole for a silicone cap. The cap can be placed on the sharpener opening which prevents shavings from discharging from the container and making a mess of the desktop or pocket interior.
